“The Japanese-style dormitory at No. 75, Section 1, Hangzhou South Road” was the residence of Dr. Liu Qinghe (known as Qinhou) during his tenure at the Taiwan Provincial Industrial Research Institute after World War II. It holds historical significance in the era. The building was officially designated as a historic building in Taipei City on March 25, 2008, under the announcement number 09730142400. Through the “Old House Cultural Movement” initiated by the Taipei City Government’s Department of Culture, Yunhe Co., Ltd. obtained the commission for restoration, management, maintenance, and a nine-year usage right for this property. Our institute will assist Yunhe Co., Ltd. with the subsequent preservation, maintenance, restoration, and repurposing work of the building.
