Design concept

The Beitou Central New Village is one of the important and unique military dependents’ villages in the Beitou area, and it is also one of the few remaining complete military dependents’ villages in Taipei City.

The residents are mainly retired employees and dependents of the Beitou Armed Forces Hospital and the Tri-Service General Hospital. It is one of the few military dependents’ villages that maintain social connections with military units and local communities. Its construction spans several decades, including the Japanese colonial period, the period of construction by the Women’s League for Civilian Internees (WLCI), and subsequent self-construction by residents.

 

Building scale

The total land area  is 13,498 square meters.
There are a total of 81 military dependents’ housing buildings within the area.
